The story of not just an actress, but a determined, strong and courageous woman...

Skye Themeda Goss is a South African actress and performing artist based in New York City, whose work spans theatre, film, movement, and physical performance.

Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Goss began performing at a young age and went on to train extensively in acting, musical theatre, dance, voice, and movement. She graduated from the Luitingh Alexander Musical Theatre Academy (LAMTA) in Cape Town, where her training encompassed a wide range of theatrical disciplines and methodologies, including Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Alexander Technique, Grotowski, clowning, dance, and voice. She later relocated to New York City to further her screen training at the New York Film Academy, completing its Acting for Film Conservatory.

Her professional stage career began in South Africa, where she performed in productions including The Seagull, directed by Professor Christopher Weare, and Pieter Toerien Productions’ national tours of Come Together and Spring Awakening, the latter directed by internationally acclaimed theatre director Sylvaine Strike. Her classical and contemporary training, combined with an extensive movement background, has shaped her into a versatile performer with a particular affinity for emotionally complex and physically expressive work.

Since relocating to New York, Goss has continued building a career across the American theatre and screen industries. Her New York stage credits include the leading role of Rachel in Book Club, which returned to the New York City Fringe Festival following sold-out performances at the Rogue Theater Festival, and the leading role of Charlotte in Ty-Quan Payne’s For the Love of Whiskey at Teatro LATEA. She has also appeared onstage at Theater for the New City and has participated in New York’s international artistic community as a panelist for Global Forms, speaking about the experience of building a creative career as an immigrant artist.

Goss’ journey as an artist has taken her from Johannesburg to Cape Town and ultimately to New York City, but her South African identity remains deeply rooted in her work. She approaches performance with emotional honesty, curiosity, discipline, and a belief in storytelling’s ability to connect people across cultures.

Now based in New York, she continues to pursue work across theatre, film, television, and commercial performance while developing her voice as an international artist.
